Harry Leo Dressler

Harry Dressler passed away at home after a short battle with liver cancer. Harry was born in Woodsfield, Ohio. He graduated from high school in 1955. He worked for Ralph Alt after high school, hauling timbers to the coal mines.

Harry and his family moved to Arizona in 1969. He was a member of the Laborers Union and worked for M.M. Sundt Corp. for years. He was also a member of the Carpenters Union and worked for Granite Construction until he retired.

Harry and his wife, Annemarie, enjoyed traveling around the country visiting friends and family. In September 2003 Harry became a member of the Elks Lodge #2131 in Willcox, Ariz. He served on the Board of Trustees for five years and was Elk of the Year in 2007. Harry loved spending time with his grandchildren, flying kites, giving tractor rides and sharing stories with his boys and their wives. Harry was hard working, honest man. He will be missed by so many near and far.


Harry was preceded in death by his father and mother, Buryl and Mary Ruby Dressler; older sister Grace and infant brother Ralph. Harry is survived by his wife of 34 years, Annemarie Dressler; sons, Rodney Dressler (Del) of Willcox, Bruce Dressler (Nancy) of Eager, Ariz.; Bee Jay Kaiser (Debbie) of Springdale, Ariz.; Berry Kaiser (Debby) of St. David, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew and their families located in Ohio.

A small service was held on Saturday, March 13, at Westlawn Chapel in Willcox at 10 a.m. Harry's final resting place was in Cochise Cemetery.

The family asks that in Harry Dressler memory contributions be made to the Charles Wm Leighton Jr. Hospice, P.O. Box 115, Willcox, AZ 85644.
